- Yves Rocher was born in La Gassilli, a small village in Brittany. When she was 14 years old, she withdrew into the forest in search of solace in the wake of her father's death. At this time, Yves Rocher realized that nature has an influence on our physical and mental health. Then he decided to make a hand-made cream from the Cucumberus in his attic. This was the beginning of botanical beauty. From his parents' home, Yves Rocher created his own laboratory. He has been able to bring natural skin care products directly to millions of women through mail order, without intermediaries. His easily accessible products were distributed all over France.
